Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer 📍 Hybrid role We're looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team, working on the design and development of BMS peripherals and HVAC control products. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of hands‑on engineering, design ownership, and cross‑functional collaboration. You'll play a key role in taking products from concept through to manufacture, supporting both new developments and existing product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electro‑mechanical components and assemblies for BMS and HVAC control applications
* Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software)
* Work closely with electronics, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost‑effective designs
* Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design reviews
* Manage design changes, tolerances, and documentation throughout the product lifecycle
* Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards, compliance, and quality requirements
* Assist with supplier engagement and manufacturing handover when required
Skills & Experience
* Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electro‑Mechanical, or Product Design Engineering
* Proven experience in electro‑mechanical design within BMS, HVAC controls, building services, or related industries
* Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software)
* Experience designing for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
* Understanding of BMS peripherals, sensors, controllers, enclosures, or control panels
* Comfortable working in a hybrid engineering environment (office + remote)
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and enclosure design
* Knowledge of HVAC systems or building automation protocols
* Exposure to compliance standards relevant to building controls
