A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Chelmsford is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA) to join their team this September. This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support within the classroom Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all pupils ✅ What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children with SEND in a primary school setting A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to support learning and behaviour Strong communication and teamwork skills A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Safeguarding Statement: This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
