JOB – Quality Engineer LOCATION – Port Talbot TERM – Permanent SALARY – £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (plus benefits) My client is a leading Engineering and Manufacturing company supplying precision components and assemblies into a range of industries. They are looking to expand their team by taking on a Quality Engineer to work at their site in Port Talbot. The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: • Previous experience working as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing or engineering environment • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar) for design validation and dimensional analysis • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies • Proven track record in delivering process improvements and efficiency gains • Strong understanding of quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and SPC • Knowledge of ISO9001 or other quality management systems • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams and suppliers • A relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, BEng, or equivalent) The Quality Engineer role will involve: • Supporting and improving quality processes across production and engineering departments • Using 3D CAD tools to validate designs and ensure manufacturability • Implementing and maintaining Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives • Conducting root cause analysis and driving corrective actions • Performing internal audits and supporting external audits as required • Liaising with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues • Generating and maintaining quality documentation, inspection plans, and reports • Contributing to product and process development to ensure compliance and efficiency If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation
