Yardman / Forklift & Delivery Driver
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £12.50 – £13.00 per hour
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–4:00pm (42 hours per week)

About the Role
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Yardman / Forklift & Delivery Driver to join a well-established and expanding engineering company based in Plymouth.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering long-term stability within a busy and friendly team. The role involves a mix of yard work, forklift operation, and local deliveries, supporting the day-to-day flow of materials across the site.
Key Responsibilities
* Loading and unloading supplier, customer, and company vehicles
* Booking materials in and out, ensuring delivery and collection notes are accurate
* Picking and safely packing fencing and fabrication materials for dispatch
* Preparing materials for coating
* Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard environment
* Recording and resolving material discrepancies
* Managing stock control and assisting with stock checks
* Supporting transport planning and logistics
* Overseeing forklift maintenance and daily safety checks
* Managing skips and waste disposal
Candidate Requirements
* Valid Forklift Truck Licence (essential)
* Experience handling large or heavy items (e.g. steel sections, pallets) in an outdoor environment
* Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, data entry, etc.)
* Strong numeracy and attention to detail (GCSE Maths or equivalent)
