Salary: Circa £50–£60k DOE

This role is with a fantastic small, but rapidly growing full-service brand and marketing agency working across regulated and emerging sectors. They help ambitious organisations define, articulate and activate their brands through strategic thinking, distinctive creativity and performance-led digital delivery.
They partner with NHS organisations, healthcare providers, medtech and fintech innovators, property developers and emerging market pioneers to create work that truly makes an impact.
As part of rapid growth, they’re now looking for a Digital Director who can elevate digital output, lead a growing studio, and deliver world-class digital experiences and campaign work with clarity, craft and strategic intelligence. NOTE: Being search savvy a real bonus with this one!
The Role
As Digital Director, you’ll take ownership of the agency’s entire digital capability — from websites and CRM to campaigns, performance marketing and digital experiences.
You’ll lead the digital team day-to-day, shape processes and standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to an exceptional standard.
You’ll also play a key role in strengthening and scaling the agency’s digital offering as part of the senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Management
* Provide clear leadership, structure and direction to the digital team
* Oversee workloads, resourcing and project prioritisation
* Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews and development planning
* Mentor and upskill team members, driving continuous improvement
* Foster a collaborative, solutions-focused team culture
Immediate Management Responsibility For
* Senior Search Specialist
* Social Media Strategist
* Digital Account Executive
* Head of Communications
* Bank of freelancers
You’ll also work closely with the Creative Director to support the delivery of digital assets (currently a team of two), ensuring fully integrated output across disciplines.
Digital Delivery
* Oversee digital projects from brief through build, launch, optimisation and reporting
* Ensure high-quality output across websites, CRM/email, campaigns and performance marketing
* Own digital timelines, budgets and workflow processes
* Partner with Account and Creative teams for seamless delivery
* Act as senior escalation point for digital challenges and problem-solving
Strategic Growth
* Shape and evolve the agency’s digital offering and internal processes
* Identify opportunities to improve systems, tools and efficiencies
* Support pitches and new business with digital expertise and recommendations
* Stay ahead of industry trends, platforms and innovation

Skills & Experience
* Proven experience leading and managing a digital team
* Strong background in digital delivery within an agency or fast-paced environment
* Solid understanding of CMS platforms, CRM systems, digital marketing and analytics
* Confident client communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
* Commercially aware and solutions-driven
* Highly organised, proactive and accountable
