The Bid Manager is a key position in the Proposals & Estimation (P&E) Organization responsible for leading P&E efforts on key sales opportunities for existing customers and potential clients. This role will be responsible for ensuring efficient development of estimates, proposals and prices in alignment with Sales, Operations and supporting functions.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate Proposal & Estimation Team efforts on assigned opportunities from Bid-No Bid approval jusqu Order is booked. Create and maintain Bid Plan and review / update action items, coordinate follow-up calls, assign tasks and ensure they are completed according to Bid Plan.
* Participate in pre-bid meetings, bid strategy and presentations to Honeywell management and customers. Coordinate post-tender clarifications with the customer and conduct proper technical workshops.
* Follow best practices and processes per P&E function and Bid Management Leader indications. Perform all additional assignments as directed by the Bid Management Leader.
* Assign work to team members, review their assignments and be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of estimates. Provide assistance in negotiation meetings if necessary. Responsible for the approval process and collection of approvals documents and support on review calls with upper management.
* Review and challenge all final estimate packages (with all functions) to ensure the best cost and accuracy, and support/prepare proposal documentation, ensuring quality and completeness.
Qualifications
* Degree in Business or similar
* Strong Bid Management or Project Management experience
* Comprehensive understanding and experience of the Bid Management process and best practices
* Technical knowledge of all or part of Honeywell Building Solutions core systems, such as BMS, HVAC, Security, Fire and EVAC
* Demonstrated success working effectively in a deadline-driven environment and managing multiple projects/opportunities simultaneously
