Join the Close Brothers Credit Risk Team where you will be responsible for building, testing, implementing, and maintaining Credit Risk new business strategies within Close Brothers Powercurve / SDS underwriting and credit decisioning systems. Working as part of the Credit Risk team our ideal team member will have previous experience of building, testing, and implementing credit acquisition strategy including the coding of strategies, system development and testing with excellent coding skills. RESPONSIBILITIES Build and test of new credit risk strategies, policy rules, scorecards & cut-offs, and orchestration within the various Close Brothers Powercurve credit decisioning systems Scope and specify detailed requirements for changes requested to credit and orchestration strategies Execute credit testing requirements and provide support & investigation for defect resolution, liaising with IT, Change and testing teams Promote the development of on-going BAU strategy development change control and testing governance procedures Provide support for business initiatives and projects requiring risk systems expertise, to develop requirements, and then execute on build, test and delivery Provide credit support to Operations, IT, Customer Acquisition and Service Management teams & help for incidents impacting PCO and investigation for defect resolution Assist with the definition of new credit data warehouse data sets & reporting and integration with SAS Enterprise Guide WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE: Knowledge of and hands on experience of using Experian’s Powercurve / SDS systems Strong knowledge of credit bureau data, systems, and related processes Experience of building, testing, and implementing credit acquisition strategy including the coding of strategies, system development and testing Expertise of Credit Risk Decision Systems including management of change control and governance processes Used tools such as SAS, SQL, Alteryx, or other similar data analytical tools Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact and convey complex information to management and non-technical colleagues/audiences IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE: An appreciation of and / or experience of credit scoring, scorecards, and scorecard development particularly in a retail environment Familiar with industry-standard credit bureau reporting practices, regulation, and guidelines Consumer and commercial underwriting, credit bureau data and reporting exposure Background in retail finance or a similar secured asset lending environment Knowledge of auto finance asset valuation providers and data sets e.g. Glass, CAP Project management and system testing background We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible recruitment process.
