Hays is working in partnership with a small SEN school in Thrapston, recruiting for a Class Teacher to join their dedicated team. Your new school:
The school supports approximately 35 pupils, providing a nurturing environment for children needing support for reintegration into mainstream education. The school prides itself on tailored support for pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, working towards successful reintegration and reducing anti-social behavior. The team includes the Head of School, Deputy Head, five teachers, and support staff, with additional support from regional and national staff.
Your new role:
As a Teacher with Hays, you will have full responsibility for a class of pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will support pupils academically and pastorally, focusing on reintegration into mainstream education, working collaboratively with other teachers to meet each pupil's needs.
What you need to succeed:
You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have at least 2 years’ experience teaching in a SEND environment. You should enjoy taking on challenges and adapting to new situations, with experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism Spectrum Conditions, and ADHD. Confidence in supporting pupils with diverse needs is essential.
