A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join their Employee Relations team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Human Resources environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive and expert HR advisory service, delivering professional advice and guidance to managers across the organisation on all employee relations matters, and to support the implementation of people-focused initiatives and organisational change.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Provide advice, guidance and support to managers on a range of employee relations issues including grievances, disciplinary matters, performance management and absence management.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies and procedures across the organisation.
* Use management information and trend analysis to identify HR issues such as absence, turnover and engagement trends.
* Support HR Business Partners in the delivery of organisational change, restructures, TUPE transfers and redundancy processes.
* Coach and upskill managers to improve confidence and capability in managing people-related issues.
* Prepare documentation for employment tribunals and ensure accurate and confidential record keeping in line with data protection legislation.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
* CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent experience in HR Advisory work.
* Proven experience of providing HR advice and guidance on complex employee relations cases.
* Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
The following skills would be beneficial for the role:
* Experience working in a public sector or local authority environment.
* Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills.
* Ability to analyse HR data and produce meaningful insights to support decision-making.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £18.50 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £14.29 per hour PAYE).
