Job Title: Installation Manager
Company Type: Furniture Installation Contractor (BTR & Student Accommodation)
Location: Nationwide (Manchester-Based with Weekly Office Meeting)
Start Date: Flexible
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Company Overview:
We are a leading furniture installation specialist working on high-volume Build to Rent (BTR) and Student Accommodation projects across the UK. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, timely installations for some of the biggest names in the sector.
As our workload continues to grow, we're looking to add a flexible, hands-on Installation Manager to support multiple ongoing projects across the country.
Role Overview:
This is a nationwide, field-based role, ideal for someone looking to grow in a fast-paced construction delivery environment. You'll be responsible for managing and auditing health & safety, setting up new sites, and ensuring smooth day-to-day progress across multiple furniture installation projects.
You’ll be expected to attend weekly project meetings in Manchester, so proximity to the area (or ability to travel there regularly) is essential.
This position would suit:
A recent Construction Management graduate looking to step into a site-focused role, or
A hands-on tradesperson (e.g. joiner, painter & decorator, flooring installer) ready to transition off the tools into a more strategic, managerial position.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend all live project sites across the UK to support and oversee delivery progress.
Carry out site setup, including health & safety documentation and procedures.
Conduct regular H&S audits and ensure all operatives are working within compliance.
Monitor and report on project progress, coordinating with the office and site teams.
Work closely with subcontractors and site teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Be flexible with travel – the majority of projects are in Birmingham and north, but nationwide travel (including Southampton and beyond) may occasionally be required.
Attend weekly team/project meetings in the Manchester office.
Requirements:
UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide regularly.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Familiarity with construction site protocols, particularly health & safety.
Confident using basic digital tools (e.g., reporting apps, spreadsheets, email).
Degree in Construction Management (desirable), or experience in a finishing trade (e.g. joinery, flooring, painting & decorating) and ready to step into management.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary (based on experience)
Company vehicle or mileage allowance
Training and career development opportunities
Exposure to fast-growing BTR and student living sectors
Dynamic, supportive team environment
