Hours: 40 hours per week ~ Mon‑Thu: 07:30‑16:30, Fri: 07:30‑13:30

Our client is a global leader in wheelchair passenger safety and accessibility solutions. We are looking for a detail‑focused and proactive Quality Control Inspector to join our Whitstable team and support the quality assurance of critical mobility securement systems and components.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest safety and quality standards while working within an innovative engineering and manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
* Inspecting incoming materials and components against engineering drawings and specifications
* Carrying out dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using measuring tools and test equipment
* Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation
* Identifying non‑conforming materials and raising Supplier NCRs
* Supporting investigations with photographs, measurements, and test data
* Working closely with suppliers, procurement, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function
* Conducting first‑stage inspections of customer returns
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role within manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments
* Experience inspecting mechanical components or securement systems
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Familiarity with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and test equipment
* Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation tools (including WMS)
* Full driving licence and own vehicle
