Overview
Gloucestershire County Council Adult Social Care is recruiting Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) for an Assessed and Supported Year of Employment (ASYE) programme beginning in October 2026. The ASYE is an induction year designed to support recent graduates in establishing their professional practice across the county.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in the structured ASYE programme, including peer supervision, practice development workshops, and support from the ASYE coordinator.
* Work with multidisciplinary teams that include Integrated Social Care Managers, Deputy Social Care Managers, Social Work Leads, Social Care Leads, Senior Social Workers, and Adult Social Care Practitioners.
* Identify yourself against the nine domains of the professional capabilities framework and demonstrate enthusiasm for learning and developing your practice.
Qualifications
* Hold a registered Social Worker qualification within the last two years and be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
* Possess a full UK driving licence (or be expected to obtain one before June 2026 assessment days).
* Have a current UK student or graduate visa (if applicable) and be eligible for visa sponsorship.
