About the Role
As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover various aspects of design technology, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of Design and Technology Teacher
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Design Technology.
* Teach a range of subjects to students in Key Stage 3 (Ages 11-14) and Key Stage 4 (Ages 14-16).
* Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in design technology.
* Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
* Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in design technology.
Requirements of Design and Technology Teacher
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary school level.
* Strong knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in design technology.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
