We are working with a client in the Darlington area who is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join their Learning Disability Day Service.
As a Support Worker, you will support adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling and independent lives. This includes enabling individuals to access their local community, engage in meaningful activities, and receive person-centred support tailored to their individual needs. Some individuals may have behavioural challenges or complex physical needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support
Support individuals to access community activities and services
Assist with personal and practical support as required
Promote independence, dignity, and respect at all times
Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
Follow care plans and support individuals with varying levels of needKey Requirements
A caring, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to delivering high-quality support
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Respect for dignity, equality, and inclusion
Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £13-£17 per hour (negotiable DOE)
Working pattern - 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
