As a Member Of Staff You Will Be an effective teacher who can maintain high standards of teaching and learning in whole-class First Access, small group and individual lesson settings. Always keep student safeguarding and well-being as a priority. Deliver engaging and motivational lessons with appropriate content. Prepare students for assessment as appropriate, such as Internal Awards, national exam boards, public examinations etc. Demonstrate effective time-keeping, lesson planning, record keeping and complete administrative duties efficiently. Communicate effectively and empathetically with all stakeholders: pupils, parents, schools, colleagues and line managers. Be supportive of the wider organisation and schools by actively promoting engagement in ensemble activities including NMPAT Saturday Centres and County Groups. Be a positive addition to the teams of which you are a part: schools, centres, instrumental discipline, and the wider NMPAT and Music Education Hub community. Demonstrate the ability to be an enthusiastic and effective learner, maintaining personal instrumental skills and developing understanding of repertoire and pedagogy through engagement with CPD. Share knowledge and support colleagues; collaborate and seek to learn. Maintain a knowledge of NMPAT policies and procedures and model the behaviours set out in the NMPAT code of conduct. Be able to take on other duties as appropriate. Teacher of Bassoon Presently, there are 3 hours of lessons taking place across Thursday and Friday evenings (4.30-7.00pm) as these link well with our ensemble activities, but we appreciate the need for flexibility for the right candidate, and we would wish to be as accomodating as possible. There may be scope to build on this appointment in the future, particularly as the Trust’s specialist teacher of this instrument. The capacity to deliver other teaching on other instruments and in other formats would also be welcomed.
