Lecturer – Computing (Maternity Cover)
Location: Peterborough College
Hours: 33.3 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – up to 12 months
Salary: £28,528 – £36,084 (pro rata) + MRA £3,000 – £6,000 (pro rata)

Are you passionate about inspiring the next generation of computing professionals? Peterborough College is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Computing and Computer Science to join our team on a maternity cover basis. You will deliver engaging teaching across levels 3 to 6, including Higher Education, and help develop learners' skills in a variety of key computing areas.
We're particularly interested in candidates who can teach in at least three of the following areas:
* Software Development
* Games Development
* Artificial Intelligence (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
* AR/VR Technologies
* Enterprise Networking (Cisco)
* Cyber Security
* Big Data / Data Mining
* Web Application Development
You’ll be responsible for delivering high‑quality lessons, assessing progress, and supporting students to achieve their full potential, while contributing to curriculum planning and resource development.
What We're Looking For
* A degree (or higher) in Computing or a related field (required)
* A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
* Industry experience in computing or a relevant specialism
* The ability to inspire, motivate and engage students across different levels
