Job Description:
I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a strong reputation and stable growth. This is a newly created, exciting role working with a high-performance global team. You will be responsible for securing new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotechnology, and medical device companies across various therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases. This remote position focuses on the UK and Western Europe, requiring a hunter mentality and a strong network in the region.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Achieving sales and business development targets and creating strategies for target markets.
2. Prospecting to establish a pipeline of sales opportunities and RFPs from potential clients.
3. Using Salesforce to track client activities and update opportunities.
4. Leading the sales process for generated and received leads.
5. Managing proposal development to meet client expectations.
6. Redefining profitable market niches based on evidence.
7. Providing input to marketing strategies supporting business development.
8. Developing sales targets, strategies, and plans with leadership.
9. Supporting pre-sales activities and resource securing.
10. Engaging with agents and consultants in other regions.
11. Collaborating with internal research staff to maximize opportunities.
12. Attending conferences and trade shows to create opportunities.
