Job Role
The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to a Physician/General Surgeon/Dental Consultant, Nurse Specialist, or group of Physicians/Surgeons/Dental Consultants, Associate Specialists, Nurse Specialists, and PAM Specialists. Responsibilities include:
1. Audiotyping (touch-typing, shorthand typing) of clinical correspondence, ensuring these are typed within agreed timescales.
2. Maintaining a pending system for all results and ensuring these are seen by the appropriate consultants.
3. Dealing with telephone and face-to-face inquiries from all staff groups, patients, relatives, and carers, providing information, directing, and prioritising queries to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.

Essential:

* Proficiency in software systems.
* Understanding of medical terms; RSA3 and further experience.
