This role is based at The Eaves Learning Centre.

Located in Westbury, our fully integrated therapeutic, education, and care services enable young people to realize their full potential while developing their social and emotional resilience for the next chapter in their lives. The unique characteristic of our integrated provisions is the delivery of wraparound education, therapy, and care to all children and young people 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our clinicians are a crucial part of the most joined-up model in SEND. Across all of our specialist schools and children’s homes, we provide unrivaled levels of clinical support, both in terms of our expertise and breadth of provision. Our young people present with complex needs including developmental trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions, and special educational needs.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you will develop your skills in building relationships and engaging children and young people in assessments and interventions under the guidance of a qualified psychologist. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team, supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualized interventions and engagement to our young people.

Here are some qualities we’re looking for:

A degree (or equivalent) in Psychology, eligible for graduate BPS membership. Your degree should include components related to young people and mental health or autism.

Experience working with young people with developmental trauma and/or neurodevelopmental needs like autism, SEMH, and ADHD.

Resilience to handle challenging situations.

A ‘can-do’ attitude and team spirit.

Honesty and empathy, as we genuinely care about our young people and each other.
