This is an exciting new opportunity to be part of a unique team delivering change on a major scale. working as part of the airport operations team to lead IT service deployment across the airline's airport locations, ensuring core operational systems were accessed by airport end users.
This is a very fast-paced but fun environment to work in with exposure to all aspects of the Business, IT services & Aviation.
This role is remote-based, with travel from your local airport. Travel is required to various airports and possibly two to three trips a month, and will focus across the UK and within the airline's major hubs, including Palma, Geneva, and Amsterdam.
JOB PURPOSE
To configure new or existing infrastructure and applications to support the needs of the business and to provide 3rd-line support for issues in our airports. Support the Delivery Managers in changes and fixes to airport operations, including networks, hardware, 3rd party supplier connections and in-house applications. Travel is required to various airports and possibly two to three monthly trips.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Solution Scoping and System Design
Support delivery managers in the development of new and/or improved business solutions to systems, ensuring they are fit for purpose and supportable, in line with the business requirement specifications and project plans.
Build Management
The role is responsible for testing and implementing technical system solutions that are “fit for business purpose”
Conduct root cause analysis on any defects or issues raised through the IT Service teams and airports and support resolution.
Support users
Provide 3rd-line systems support for airport infrastructure and assigned systems in our airports. Coordinate support activity across the team to ensure satisfactory resolution of issues assigned to the team
Manage Risk, Security & Audits
Identify any access or data amendment breaches or any breach of easyJet policies and ensure these are reported and remedial actions to resolve/close taken.
Manage Knowledge
Maintain a repository of knowledge around the assigned systems, both for IT colleagues and materials for the business, including training collateral. Specifically, all relevant IT processes, checklists, designs, and other relevant knowledge are comprehensive and up-to-date.
System Upgrades
Support the maintenance of the Technology roadmap ensuring upgrades are scoped and implemented with no unexpected business impact.
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
Essential Skills
1. 3+ years relevant systems experience in 2nd/3rd line support
2. 2+ years’ experience in design, build, test, and/or delivery of system developments and reporting (product lifecycle)
3. Experience in the development and reporting of operational systems and access
4. Knowledge of business processes and terminology
5. Supplier management skills – gravitas to engage senior stakeholders
6. Experience with the administration of systems and supporting operational business needs
7. Troubleshooting incidents and changes in IT Services
8. Passport with more than 6 months validation - Travel is required to various airports and possibly at short notice
9. Full UK driving license and own car.
Desirable Skills
10. Airline sector and/or Retail experience
11. Experience in implementing updates/upgrades on business systems
12. Experience in the change management process
13. Basic Network Connectivity implementation and support
LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
This full-time role will be 40 hours per week.
