Project Planner - Hospital Construction Projects (UK)
Overview
The Project Planner will work on high profile hospital construction projects throughout the UK, providing performance reporting and analysis support. You will collaborate across the programme and supply chain to provide a realistic baseline, embed effective controls, and monitor progress to ensure successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Embed a realistic baseline and effective controls to monitor progress, manage issues and mitigate slippage.
* Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops to compile the master project/programme schedule baseline.
* Manage the risk management process, conducting qualitative and quantitative assessments to support cost and schedule predictability.
* Ensure stakeholder buy‑in by obtaining sign‑offs on the baseline and providing regular progress updates.
* Implement a robust update process that manages schedule, interfaces, cost, risk, and changes.
* Guide and influence the principal contractor and client to achieve schedule and cash‑flow KPIs.
* Control the master programme, applying quality checks to updates from the client and contractor.
* Lead the change management process, providing a platform for adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving changes in a timely fashion.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience delivering Controls in a major project/programme environment.
* Proficiency with controls and general software applications such as Primavera (P6), Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start‑up work processes.
* Strong time‑management skills, quick thinking, and the ability to meet project deadlines.
* Flexible with regards to travel, including remote working and regular client site visits.
