Job Description:

Job overview

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust holds the value that living a life that is free from harm and abuse is a fundamental right of every person. It acknowledges its statutory responsibilities to promote the welfare of children and young people and to protect adults at risk of abuse, enabling them to retain independence, well-being, dignity and choice.

You will work as part of our Trust Safeguarding Team delivering excellence in safeguarding practice for Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. You will have the opportunity to develop your safeguarding skills and gain experience in training, supervision and all matters related to safeguarding with full support from the safeguarding team.

You will be able to work without direct supervision, and will provide advice, support and guidance to staff in relation to safeguarding. You will work alongside the Named Nurse for Children and Named Professional for Adults to develop the safeguarding ‘think family’ approach as neither children, young people, adults and their families and carers exist or operate in isolation across Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust services. The role also involves the leadership and development of effective multi agency partnerships to raise awareness of the agenda at all levels.
