We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Data & AI to join a major enterprise-scale organisation in the energy sector. This is a critical leadership role operating at C-Suite level, responsible for stabilising and advancing the company’s Data, AI, and Analytics strategy during a key leadership transition.
You will lead the organisation’s data governance, compliance, AI adoption, and analytics function, working closely with senior leadership and Board stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment and delivery of measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute the enterprise-wide Data & AI strategy
* Oversee data governance, information assurance, compliance, and risk management
* Lead adoption of AI-powered insights and automation into business processes
* Engage with C-Level executives and Board members to align data initiatives with business goals
* Provide leadership and stability during a leadership transition phase
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head of Data, Head of Data & AI, Chief Data Officer, or equivalent senior data leadership role
* Demonstrated ability to operate confidently at Board and C-Suite level
* Background in Energy, Utilities, FTSE 100-scale enterprise, or Big 4 consultancy environments
* Strong knowledge of Azure, Snowflake, and enterprise data governance frameworks
* Available to start within 2 weeks
* Location: Warwick, UK (Hybrid – minimum 2 days on-site per week)
