Retail Security Officer – Lidl – Woolwell
Location: Woolwell (PL6 7FG). 40 hours per week, overtime available for holiday/absence cover. Pay: £14.30 per hour. Day shifts only (up to 12 hours a day between 9 am and 10 pm Monday–Saturday, and 9 am to 4 pm on Sundays).

About the Role
Mitie is looking for a Retail Security Officer to work in our Lidl store. Full training and a quality induction will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Act as a visual deterrent on the shop floor
* Safely detain offenders following H&S training
* Utilise store security systems, including CCTV and EAS gates
* Collaborate with covert security operatives
* Investigate losses and support inquiries about known offenders
* Complete accurate incident reports and company documentation
* Report crime incidents using a company‑provided tablet
* Conduct routine patrols to ensure customer safety
* Record patrols in daily activity sheets
* Provide security updates during store briefings
* Conduct shift handovers to ensure service continuity
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for all
Qualifications
* Door Supervision or Security Guarding License
* Five‑year checkable employment history or documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self‑employment, or education
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in a retail security role
