Gasoline Calibration Engineer - Contract

ESG REC are working with a Global Strategic, Environmental and Engineering Consulting Company.
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer - Gasoline ICE Calibration to support key base engine calibration projects. This is a hands-on, technically focused role that will involve leading calibration activities across a variety of environments, including engine testbeds, vehicles, and remote setups. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development and optimization of engine emissions control strategies and EMS calibration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop base engine calibration activities
* Optimise emissions control strategies
* Execute calibration work on test rigs, engine testbeds, vehicles, and remote setups
* Perform technical analysis with robust data evidence
* Own project tasks and ensure delivery within scope, budget, and time
* Interface directly with clients on technical matters
* Collaborate with project teams for effective task execution
* Deliver technical reporting (internal & client-facing)
* Supervise and mentor junior engineers
* Travel as required to customer sites
Ideal Candidate Experience:
* Strong background in engine calibration or similar discipline
* Experienced with Engine Management Systems (EMS) strategy and calibration
* Proficient with tools like INCA and MDA
* Deep understanding of engine fundamentals, combustion, and emissions control
* Proven ability to manage technical tasks to quality standards
* Skilled in data interpretation and technical communication
* Confident working in a customer-facing role and collaborative environments
* Excellent written and verbal English communication
