About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for Project Field Engineer to join our team covering the Southern Area of UK. As a Project Field Engineer you will report to the Southern Area Manager working mainly within the South of England with possibility of UK wide deployment. This role sits within Energy Network Solutions () team, maintenance division of High Voltage (HV) business and is dedicated to providing specialist technical services to a wide range of customers. ENS business operates a team of engineers, cable jointers and fluid technicians with 24/7 response capability. You will be key to delivering this service, and undertaking project and site management, to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
This position could be suited for an adaptable, methodical and tenacious person that is looking to utilise their technical and project management skills in a new career.
Responsibilities
1. Ensure all work is carried out safely, competently and effectively achieving scope, programme and budget.
2. You will take ownership of supervising a range of installation activities on installation projects and maintenance services throughout the UK.
3. Actively monitoring civil engineering activities and Prysmian installation staff allocated to the site in order to efficiently complete projects.
4. Liaison between head office, customer, sub-contractors and site-based employees.
5. Ensuring compliance to safety, environmental, quality and security procedures. Promoting best practice at all times.
6. Liaise internally and externally to ensure all targets and key milestones are met and ensure all works are carried out to company procedure.
Qualifications & Requirements
7. Previous experience within a construction or electricity industry environment
8. Proven people management skills and an ability to work unsupervised.
9. Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
10. Ideally hold a HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline. However, this is not necessary depending on experience held.
11. Hold a sound understanding of HV cable systems and construction/civil engineering.
12. A high level of computer literacy.
Must have a valid UK driving license. Frequent travel to sites is required throughout UK and NI for extended periods of time.
