We are seeking an experienced Associate Director - Commercial Management to lead commercially on complex Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure programmes, act as senior NEC adviser to our clients, and help scale the service. Projects are in Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Tilbury.
You will already be operating at this level. Visible to clients, close to delivery, and trusted to make the calls that matter at programme level. If you have grown tired of being a small voice inside a large machine, this is a business where senior judgement still decides outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading commercial management on complex Energy, Utilities and Infrastructure commissions, from strategy through to final account.
* Acting as senior commercial and NEC adviser to clients.
* Advising across NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, including early warnings, compensation events, change control and defined cost.
* Setting proportionate, compliant commercial governance that supports delivery.
* Overseeing valuations, forecasting, reporting, claims, variations and final accounts, and stepping in directly where senior judgement is required.
* Leading and developing the commercial team, and contributing to the leadership of the Commercial Management function.
* Supporting repeat business with existing clients and helping win new work where your experience adds weight.
Skills & Experience
* A track record at Senior Commercial Manager, Lead QS or Associate Director level.
* Strong, practical NEC3 and NEC4 experience across Options A, B and C.
* A background in Energy, Utilities or major Infrastructure.
* Confidence working directly with senior client stakeholders, and a respected profile in your sector or region.
* A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, and MRICS or equivalent.
* An SME mindset, comfortable with the visibility and accountability the role carries.
* Ideally, a network and at least one client relationship you could bring with you.
