£75,000 + Company Car / Allowance + Benefits
We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team delivering high-value building services projects across the North West and beyond.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute QS who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in major mechanical and electrical installations.
The Role
You will take full commercial responsibility for M&E packages from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the commercial performance of mechanical and electrical projects
* Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and subcontracts
* Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
* Valuations, variations, and change management
* Procurement of specialist M&E subcontract packages
* Risk and value management
* Producing monthly CVRs and financial reports
* Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
* Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners
About You
We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of building services and a solid commercial background.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor (Senior level preferred)
* Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical services installations
* Experience working for an M&E contractor or specialist subcontractor
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills
* Good understanding of contract forms (e.g., JCT, NEC)
* Proficient in cost reporting and commercial management systems
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
