Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships, overseeing the delivery of accounting services, and ensuring the team’s success. Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, acting as the main point of contact for their accounting needs.
* Reviewing and finalising statutory accounts, tax computations, and management accounts prepared by the team.
* Providing advisory support to clients, including financial planning, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for business improvement.
* Supervising and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development and progression.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including deadlines and quality standards.
* Collaborating with the senior management team to contribute to the firm’s strategic objectives and growth.
Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following:
* Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Proven experience working in an accountancy practice environment, with strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Excellent technical skills, including experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
* Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
