Role Overview
Three Bridges is a female‑only service supporting four ladies who require a wide range of support, from emotional help and learning new coping mechanisms to gaining independence and entering adulthood. The role involves supporting people to lead a "Gloriously ordinary" life full of opportunities, fun and helping them reach their goals and aspirations. The job can be challenging, but rewards are significant: for example, one individual has spent 26 years in a hospital setting and now lives in the service independently for two years; another has a paid job and two people attend college; the ladies enjoy days out such as Brighton by bus, clubbing, karaoke, eating out and event planning. We support people with a mix of single‑person one‑to‑one care during the day and shared support day and night. Some young people may self‑harm, have anxiety, or show occasional behaviours of concern, so a calm, consistent approach is essential.
