?? About the Company Join a fast-growing start up sales and business development agency on a mission to help businesses win more of the right clients.
This is a very important hire for the business. Youll be joining early, working closely with the founder and team, and playing a key role in how the company grows.
Youll be based in a lovely modern office in Leith with great transport links and plenty of nearby cafés and amenities. Once youre settled into the role and up to speed, youll have the flexibility to work 2 days per week from home as part of a hybrid set up.
?? The Role As a Sales Development Representative / Business Development Manager, youll be at the heart of creating new business opportunities for a portfolio of clients.
Your focus will be to understand each clients ideal customer, generate high-quality leads and build strong relationships that turn into real opportunities.
Day to day you will:
Carry out market research to identify target sectors, companies and key decision makers
Prospect via phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels to generate qualified leads
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline for multiple clients
Book and qualify meetings with potential customers for your clients
Nurture relationships with prospects over time and keep them warm
Work closely with internal teams to align messaging, targeting and strategy
Track activity and results using CRM and sales tools, reporting on performance and insights
Provide feedback to clients on whats working in the market and where opportunities are
?? About You You dont need decades of experience mindset, drive and curiosity matter just as much.
Youll be a great fit if you:
Have proven experience in Business Development, Lead Generation or Sales
Are confident speaking with decision makers over the phone, on video and in person
Enjoy researching markets and spotting opportunities
Are organised and comfortable managing a busy pipeline across multiple clients
Can develop and follow effective business development strategies
Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
Are comfortable using CRM systems and sales tracking tools
Can work independently and enjoy being part of a small, collaborative team
Experience in a sales or marketing agency environment is a bonus
