HVAC Technician – Electrically Biased
Rate: £34.60 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 4‑Year Contract | Inside IR35
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Aylesbury & Banbury Depot'
Situation
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to support HVAC systems across customer railway depots. This role is best suited for an electrically biased HVAC Technician or qualified electrician with experience working safely in demanding environments.
The Role
Reporting into the service function, the HVAC Technician will be responsible for the inspection, fault‑finding, repair, and maintenance of rail HVAC systems. The role requires travel to customer depots and a high standard of professionalism when working on live operational sites.
Responsibilities
Fault‑find, test, repair, and maintain HVAC systems
Carry out brazing, pipework repairs, and F‑Gas related activities
Work independently on customer depots in accordance with site rules
Complete service reports, documentation, and compliance records
Adhere to all Health & Safety and rail safety standards
Essential Criteria
Electrically biased technician or fully qualified electrician
Proven HVAC service or maintenance experience
Level 3 Qualification
Strong electrical fault‑finding capability
Full UK driving licence
