Bikeability Assistant Cycle of Life Ltd Location: The Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, 4 Princes Road Liverpool L8 1TH Jobe Type: Part Time/ Full Time (Flexible) Salary: Competitive, based on experience Start Date: November 2026 About Cycle of Life Cycle of Life Ltd is a community-driven social enterprise dedicated to breaking barriers to cycling, promoting sustainable transport, and empowering individuals through active travel and entrepreneurship. We provide cycling education, business mentoring, and mobility solutions to underserved communities across Liverpool, including asylum seekers, Looked After Children (LACs), and low-income families. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrative Officer to support the smooth running of our operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our day-to-day administrative tasks, record-keeping, and internal coordination are handled efficiently, allowing Cycle of Life to maximise its impact. Role Overview The Bikeability Assistant will support the planning and delivery of Bikeability sessions and other cycling education programmes. The role combines teaching assistance, administrative coordination, and marketing support to ensure high-quality programme delivery and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Communicate with Partner Organisations ? Arranging and coordinating Bikeability sessions in partnership with external organisations. Delivery Support of Cycling Training ? Assisting with the instruction and management of cycling training sessions across different skill levels. Session Evaluation and Feedback ? Assessing the effectiveness of training sessions and providing constructive feedback to aid continuous improvement. Lesson Planning and Preparation ? Contributing to the design of lesson structures and preparing necessary materials for cycling sessions. Marketing and Promotional Support ? Helping to promote cycling initiatives through social media channels and various outreach activities. Collaboration and Meeting Attendance ? Participating in staff meetings and working with colleagues to ensure the efficient and effective running of all cycling programmes. Person Specification ? organisational and time-management skills: ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate complex schedules and meet deadlines consistently. This includes meticulous planning for instructional sessions, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are prepared, and effectively structuring time within a session to maximise learning and engagement for participants. ? Experience or interest in cycling instruction or physical education: A background or demonstrated strong interest in teaching practical skills, particularly within a physical activity or sport context such as cycling proficiency, sports coaching, or physical education. This encompasses understanding pedagogical techniques suitable for diverse age groups and skill levels, and a commitment to continuous professional development in relevant areas. ? Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities: communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, enabling effective interaction with participants, colleagues, parents/guardians and community stakeholders. The capacity to work collaboratively within a team environment, contribute positively to group objectives, and provide supportive, constructive feedback to learners. ? Attention to detail in planning, recording, and evaluating sessions: Meticulous approach to all administrative and logistical tasks associated with the role. This involves accurately documenting participant progress, maintaining detailed records of attendance and safety checks, precisely planning session content tailored to specific learning outcomes, and objectively evaluating the effectiveness of instructional methods to drive continuous improvement. ?
