Salary and Conditions
* Salary: £32,549.00 per annum, with potential to increase in April 2026 in line with a cost-of-living award.
* Hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday.
* Contract: Permanent.
* Closing Date: 12 noon on Friday, 27 February 2026.
Role Summary
Join our growing security team and play a crucial role in defending our organisation against evolving cyber threats. We’re looking for a proactive Cyber Analyst passionate about protecting systems, data and people.

About The Cyber Analyst Role
This role will involve:
* Monitoring and maintaining cyber security tools to detect threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity.
* Conducting vulnerability assessments, risk reviews, and penetration testing to strengthen security controls.
* Investigating and responding to security incidents, documenting actions and findings.
* Promoting cyber best practice and keeping training, policies, and processes up to date.
* Providing technical security advice across the organisation and supporting cyber-related procurement.
* Supporting the Head of Security & Infrastructure and contributing to wider ICT change assurance.
Your Experience
Successful candidates will need:
Essential
* An understanding of modern security principles and technologies.
* At least 1 year’s experience and proficiency with cyber security tools and technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection and SIEM systems.
* Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with other IT professionals.
Desirable
* Relevant professional certification such as CompTIA Security+, Security Blue Team, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker).
* Experience with threat hunting and incident response.
