Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Liquid Cooling and High Density Systems Engineering Manager with proven leadership in mechanical thermal product and system design. The candidate should be recognized as a technical authority across multiple disciplines. In this role, you will collaborate with the Engineering Director and stakeholders to develop new products and improve existing cooling systems with innovative features. You will translate customer needs into product and system requirements, ensuring solutions meet technical and commercial goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Engineering Director to define product requirements based on market needs.
2. Create product concepts that meet objectives derived from requirements.
3. Balance design trade-offs such as size vs. serviceability, cost vs. standardization, and performance vs. weight.
4. Guide mechanical and electrical design teams to align their detailed work with the initial vision.
5. Assist in manufacturability, process considerations, and field serviceability based on plant capabilities and field skills.
6. Mentor and develop team talent through guidance, coaching, and training.
Education & Certifications:
* Minimum: Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting.
* 3D CAD skills for design ideation and stakeholder communication.
* Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, suppliers, market drivers, and competition.
Requirements:
* Experience with OEM, HVAC, or Data Center engineering projects.
* Expertise in HVAC, thermal, and fluid dynamics.
* Additional qualification in Business or Project Management is a plus.
* Strong credentials in product development adhering to safety and electrical standards.
* Understanding of New Product Development processes.
* Knowledge of controls and hydraulic systems.
* Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
* Familiarity with standards like EMC, UL, CE.
Travel Requirements:
Approximately 10%.
