A Dorset-based food manufacturing company is looking to recruit a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer for their production facility located in the Poole/Bournemouth area.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be part of a small team of shift engineers providing engineering support to the production area. Your responsibilities will include reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and auxiliary systems.
The site is part of a group with multiple locations across the UK, on a significant growth and development path, offering real opportunities for progression.
Role
* Open to candidates who are either electrically or mechanically biased, or multi-skilled
* 3 on 3 off shifts – Days and Nights (12-hour shifts): 5.15 – 17.15 and 17.15 – 5.15

Key Responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer
* Assist the team to maximize plant and equipment efficiency, minimizing downtime
* Ensure planned engineering tasks are completed on time and fully
* Follow good repair and manufacturing practices and procedures
* Complete planned maintenance documentation and use the CMMS system
* Work closely with production staff to meet daily targets
* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to improve efficiency and processes
Experience and Skills Required
* Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G or NVQ Level 3, or ideally ONC/HNC level
* Multi-skilled, electrically biased with mechanical skills/experience
* Apprenticeship trained
* Proactive attitude towards problem-solving and supporting production
* Manufacturing/production experience is required
