1st Line IT Support Technician
Location: Broxbourne (Fully Office-Based)
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday
A growing IT services provider is seeking a proactive and customer-focused 1st Line IT Support Technician to join their dedicated team based in Broxbourne. Working as part of a busy service desk, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for multiple clients, handling technical queries and issues via a ticketing system. They will provide timely and effective support, escalating more complex issues to the 2nd Line team when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver 1st line technical support to a range of clients, both remotely and in person
* Accurately log and manage support tickets using the internal system
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
* Ensure clear communication and updates to end users
* Escalate unresolved or complex issues in line with company procedures
* Contribute to documentation and process improvements
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a 1st line IT support or helpdesk role
* Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure
* A professional and customer-centric approach to support
