Salary: Up to £35,000 plus £5,000 car allowance/Company Car
We are looking for a proactive and driven Field Account Manager to become the trusted face of our business.
In this role, you'll engage with a variety of SME clients (typically 10-50 employees), helping them maximise the value of our comprehensive portfolio through effective cross-selling and up-selling.
Our products and services include hosted telephony, broadband, managed internet, mobiles, managed IT, Microsoft licensing, and cybersecurity solutions.
You will typically spend four days a week out in the field visiting customers, with one day working from the office. The majority of appointments will be pre-booked by our growing desk-based Customer Development team, allowing you to focus on driving revenue.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through face-to-face meetings and consistent follow-up
2. Provide pricing and complete paperwork on-site to streamline the sales cycle
3. Understand customer needs through effective questioning and active listening
4. Create and execute account development plans tailored to each client's business objectives
5. Present customised, value-driven proposals aligned with customer goals
6. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless, end-to-end service
7. Schedule and carry out proactive outbound communications, including arranging your own appointments where needed
8. Drive product penetration through strategic cross-selling and up-selling
9. Meet and exceed revenue targets while minimising churn
10. Identify at-risk customers and flag them to the appropriate teams to support retention
11. Keep customer records, contact details, and notes up to date in our CRM systems
12. Maintain accurate decision-maker information and build rapport with key stakeholders
13. Stay current with industry trends and continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth
Candidate Requirements:
* Recent experience in a sales role, ideally field-based
* Proven ability to work towards targets and KPIs
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with clients
* Quick thinker with strong problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated and results-oriented
* Resilient, determined, and positive under pressure
* Eager to learn and open to feedback
* Strong organisational and workload management skills
* Collaborative team player
* Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM systems
* Previous experience selling IT, telecoms, or related services is advantageous
