Admin and Data Assistant

Contract Type: 21 hours per week (Fixed term for 2 years)
Reports To: Services Manager
Accountable to: Services Manager (and Technical Services Manager for database support).
Blatchington Court Trust is on a mission to empower children and young people with vision impairment—and we're looking for a detail-oriented, compassionate Admin and Data Assistant to help us do just that. This dynamic role blends administrative support with data management, ensuring our Services Team runs smoothly and our database system remains a reliable source of insight and connection.

What You'll Do
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our database system
* Monitor and maintain data quality through regular checks
* Generate reports and insights to inform service delivery and strategic planning
* Assist with planning and organising social events and activities via Eventbrite
* Provide general admin support to the Services Team, including:
* Casework assistance
* Email correspondence
* Maintaining case files and documentation
* Setting up online events
* Building a digital library of resources
* Act as the first point of contact for new referrals and client registration
* Make warm, professional phone calls to service users and families to offer support and gather feedback
* Collaborate with a small, friendly team to keep operations running smoothly
* Handle sensitive information in line with safeguarding and data protection policies
What You'll Bring
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach to admin and data entry
* Clear and confident communication skills—written and verbal
* A warm, empathetic telephone manner, especially when speaking with vision impaired clients and their families
* Familiarity with database systems (training available if needed)
* Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment
* Competency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable
* Experience in a charity or service-focused organisation
* Understanding of safeguarding and accessibility best practices
* Basic knowledge of reporting tools or data analysis
