Gap Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established, privately owned engineering business based in Oldbury, West Midlands. Due to significant business growth and organisational restructuring, we are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager (Multi-Skilled) to strengthen the maintenance and engineering function across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical expertise with people and project management, supporting both reactive and planned maintenance while driving continuous improvement. Duties and responsibilities as a Maintenance Manager: Lead and manage all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across two sites Plan, manage and improve the preventive maintenance (PM) schedule Fault find and repair pumps, motors, impellors, pneumatics and fluid systems Project manage engineering and maintenance improvement projects Report against monthly engineering objectives and KPIs Ensure machinery uptime, reliability and compliance with operational requirements Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring full Health & Safety compliance Support out-of-hours call-outs and provide shift cover when required Key skills and qualifications required as a Maintenance Manager: Technical / Engineering Skills Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings Experience fault-finding on pumps, motors and fluid systems Understanding of pneumatics and fluid logic Automotive manufacturing background (preferred) Wet paint or coatings experience (preferred) ABB robotics experience (preferred) Management & Professional Skills Proven experience managing maintenance or engineering teams Strong project management capability Experience using Excel-based PM systems Good PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across all levels Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment Apply now through Gap Personnel to discuss this opportunity in confidence.
