We seek a business development leader to help clients extract maximum value from R&D and innovation across Consumer Goods & Industrial markets.
The role:
The role of Managing Partner R&D, Innovation is responsible for Consumer (Food & Beverage, Personal Care, Household Products & Appliances) and Industrial (Manufacturing, Fluid Handling, Energy, Chemicals, Water, Agri-tech amongst other) markets, the ‘Heads’ of which are direct reports.
Reporting to the Managing Director of the R&D Consultancy Division, you will be responsible for leveraging your science, technology and engineering skills, working with start-up disruptors, through to world leading brands to realise maximum value from R&D and Innovation investments.
Key responsibilities:
* Building and growing a portfolio of clients to expand business in the UK, US and across mainland Europe
* Educating prospective clients in the value of partnering with a consulting firm that has deep market knowledge and a network of the best minds in the industry
* Formulation of Go-To-Market strategies
* Achieving sustainable revenue and profit growth
* Collaborating with appropriate internal resource to demonstrate the capability to deliver
* Managing a commercial team and their accountability to deliver
You:
The role requires a passion for value creation. You must:
* Have proven success as a management consultant responsible for winning, developing and delivering business across Consumer OR Industrial businesses
* Be entrepreneurial and experienced in developing innovative, disruptive technology & products that deliver substantial business impact
* Combine deep technical knowledge with a sharp market intelligence leading to compelling, science driven propositions
* Have a deep understanding of R&D and Innovation strategy & execution in blue chip Consumer OR Industrial businesses
* Have the ability and the experience to harness AI as an enabler to power innovation and infrastructure
* Demonstrate clear experience of creating service offerings
* Have a scientific and/or engineering background supported by a relevant degree

Salary and package:
Base salary £130,000 to c.£150,000 + bonus of 15 – 20% dependent on group performance + benefits
Location and mobility:
Can be based from the Cambridge or Leatherhead offices. Must be willing to travel c25% of the time including to the US and mainland Europe. There is NO WFH policy: 5 days per week at client OR designated office is essential.
