Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Auditor to join our team in Luton, United Kingdom. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during overnight hours, maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction, and overseeing financial accuracy.
* Welcome late-arriving guests and bid farewell to early departures, providing exceptional customer service throughout their stay
* Perform daily reconciliation of the hotel's financial transactions, including checking and preparing reports, completing audits, and collating necessary paperwork for departures
* Manage and confirm reservation details and accounts for in-house guests, ensuring all information is recorded accurately
* Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, maximizing guest satisfaction while maintaining property safety and security
* Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns, ensuring total customer satisfaction
* Prepare and distribute relevant reports to appropriate departments
* Oversee the hotel's overnight operations, taking initiative to resolve any issues that may arise
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
* Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously
* Good understanding of finance and accounting practices
* Proficiency in basic computer skills and hotel management software (knowledge of Opera Cloud is a plus)
* Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently
* Flexibility to work night shifts (typically 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays
* Ability to handle cash and process credit card transactions accurately
* Willingness to take ownership and initiative in various tasks as required
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Basic understanding of local laws and regulations related to the hospitality industry is preferred
