Your new role
As a Year 3 supply teacher, you’ll step into classrooms to teach in the absence of the regular class teacher. You’ll have the option to work part-time or full-time depending on your schedule. You’ll be responsible for delivering planned lessons, maintaining continuity in learning, and leaving a clear summary of the day’s progress. Familiarity with lower Key Stage 2 learning objectives, such as developing reading fluency, foundational maths skills, and topic-based enquiry-is key. Your ability to create a positive, structured environment will help pupils feel confident and supported.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Availability to teach from September 2025, either part-time or full-time
3. Experience and confidence in delivering the KS2 curriculum
4. A nurturing approach to classroom management and pupil engagement
5. Strongmunication skills with both children and staff
6. Ability to adapt to different school settings with professionalism
7. A genuine passion for helping young learners grow academically and socially
