Job Description:
Eden Scott's client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Administrator to join their Corporate New Business Onboarding Team. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring efficient, compliant, and timely onboarding of new corporate and institutional investment clients. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with AML, CDD, and EDD standards, and delivering excellent service throughout the client journey.
* Manage the full lifecycle onboarding of new corporate, institutional, and high-value investment clients.
* Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks in line with UK and international AML regulations.
* Analyze corporate structures, ownership, source of wealth/funds, and identify beneficial owners (UBOs).
* Liaise with clients, relationship managers, and compliance teams to verify KYC documentation, including proof of identity, company incorporation, trust deeds, and tax residency declarations.
* Risk-rate new clients using internal risk scoring tools and AML frameworks.
* Review, validate, and escalate high-risk cases to the compliance and financial crime teams as needed.
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate client data and onboarding status updates in systems.
* Ensure all onboarding activities comply with FCA guidelines, AML policies, MLR, Sanctions Screening, and other relevant regulations.
* Stay updated on industry and regulatory developments related to AML/CFT, CDD, and investment compliance.
* Support audits, internal reviews, and regulatory inspections by maintaining thorough records.
* Understand product offerings such as investment funds, portfolio management, corporate accounts, SIPPs, OEICs, and ISAs.
* Capture product-specific onboarding requirements, including mandates, client classifications (MiFID II), and disclosures.
* Act as the first contact point for onboarding queries from clients and stakeholders.
* Provide professional, timely, and client-centric service for a seamless onboarding experience.
* Support the transition from onboarding to ongoing relationship management or account servicing.
* Identify opportunities to improve onboarding procedures and controls.
* Assist in updating checklists, SOPs, and training materials to reflect regulatory changes.
* Guide junior team members and escalate complex cases as needed.
* Participate in internal projects, system migrations, and regulatory change implementations requiring onboarding input.
Person Specification
* 3–5 years of experience in client onboarding, CDD, AML, or compliance roles within financial services or investments.
* Strong knowledge of UK AML regulations, CDD/EDD requirements, and FCA guidelines.
* Experience with corporate structures, trusts, regulated entities, and complex ownership hierarchies.
* Familiarity with investment products and platforms, especially for corporate clients.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to manage multiple onboarding cases and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first approach.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and onboarding/KYC workflow systems.
