Field Service Engineer - West Sussex
£28,000 - £32,000 + Overtime + On-Call + Van + Tools + Full Training
Field-Based | Remote Working | Weekly Depot Visit Only
We're hiring a Field Service Engineer to join a growing and supportive team, covering West Sussex and surrounding areas. This is a field-based role-no daily commute to the depot-you'll just report in once a week to the Littlehampton depot.
What's on offer:
* £28,000 - £32,000 basic salary (depending on experience)
* Paid overtime at x1.5
* 1 in 3-4 weeks on-call rota, with additional pay

* Working great hours, Monday - Friday 08.00-17.00 plus on-call on a rota basis

Your responsibilities will include:
* Installing and maintaining ceiling track hoists and related equipment in domestic and care environments
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
* Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
* Delivering excellent customer service during visits
* Keeping accurate records of work using handheld devices or service documentation
* Liaising with the office team regarding schedules, parts, and customer needs
* Occasionally participating in the on-call rota (approx. 1 in 3-4 weeks)
Who we're looking for:
Ideally, you'll already have experience with ceiling track hoists, but we're open to considering engineers from similar backgrounds-or even other industries entirely. Full training is provided, so if you're practical, hands-on, and ready to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
We're especially keen to speak to people from:
* The mobility or healthcare equipment sector
* Electrical or mechanical engineering roles
* Roles like BT engineers, maintenance engineers, or tradespeople with building/fitting experience
No formal qualifications required - just bring:
* A positive, can-do attitude
* Confidence working at height
* Physical fitness (you'll be lifting, carrying, and installing equipment)
* Strong communication and customer service skills
