The University of Worcester is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Building Compliance Assistant to join our dynamic Estates & Facilities team. We are looking for an individual who can support multiple streams of work and adapt to new initiatives and priorities. The ideal candidate should be able to work with initiative, demonstrate accuracy and strong attention to detail, and be an effective communicator with the ability to keep calm under pressure.
With a diverse estate comprising over 50 buildings of varying age and complexity, the successful candidate will support the Compliance Officer and wider Estates Department with ensuring properties across the estate are safe, well-maintained and in line with all relevant legislative standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining safe, high-quality facilities and ensuring compliance across key building safety disciplines. This role will have responsibility for overseeing our gas, electric, lift safety, asbestos, fire and water hygiene programmes ensuring these critical areas are delivered effectively, efficiently and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
This will be a full-time role (37 hours per week), based at our St John’s Campus. You’ll be part of a supportive team working to maintain a safe and compliant environment for staff, students, and visitors.
