Job description
As part ofthe Maintenance Team you will be working to deliver solutions toimprove our process reliability product quality and plantwideperformance.
Some of the duties of theinstrumentation and control technician are:
* Consulting diagrams and technical documentation such asschematics manuals standards and codes;
* Maintaining backup and revision documentation for controlsystems and instrumentation;
* Manage SCADA typedevices in an industrial based environment
* Installing configuring calibrating and maintainingcontrol measurement and indicating instrumentation (pneumaticanalog & digital);
* Configuring andprogramming Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and ProgrammableAutomation Controllers (PAC);
* Organize andorder PLC control components in order to maintain plant processcontrol systems.
* Work with corporate IT staffas required with miscellaneous network and computeractivities.
* Must be able to prepare technicalreports for documenting issues/changes to equipment.
* Must be able to manage projects for implementing changesand improvements.
* Employee must be willing tobe on call to support production needs.
* Installing and terminating electrical pneumatic and fluidconnections;
* Inspecting and testing theoperation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults;
* Removing repairing adjusting and replacingcomponents;
* Calibrating components andsystems;
* Assisting engineering in plant designmodification and hazard analysis;
* Maintainingvarious computerbased control systems;
* Performing scheduled maintenance programs; and
* Keeping uptodate with advances in technology in industryand the trade.
Some of the instruments include transmitters analyzerssensors detectors signal conditioners recorders controllers andfinal control elements. They are used in industry to measure andcontrol variables such as pressure flow temperature level motionforce and chemical composition.
