Howdens is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join our team based at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. This role supports proactive/preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment, services, utilities, and improvement projects, along with reactive breakdown maintenance as needed.
The ideal candidate has completed an engineering apprenticeship or holds relevant engineering qualifications with proven manufacturing or industrial experience. A good understanding of manufacturing processes within an FMCG environment is also essential.
Pay rate: £53,827.28 per annum (Inclusive of Basic rate, shift & disturbance allowance)
Shift Pattern:
1. Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 6am-6pm
2. Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday - 6am-6pm; Wednesday, Thursday - 6pm-6am
3. Week 3 - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 6pm-6am
7 days off.

Key Responsibilities:
* Proactive and preventative maintenance
* Reactive breakdown repairs
* Participation in continual improvement projects
* Ownership of specific production line maintenance
* Supporting lean manufacturing initiatives
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience maintaining multi-axis (CNC) machinery
* Experience with extraction plants
* Desirable: experience in wood-working manufacturing
* Desirable: PUWER experience
* Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC, Pilz Safety PLC, and related systems
* Fault finding, root cause analysis, corrective actions
* Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
* NVQ Level 3 in engineering (essential)
