Assistant Project Manager (Residential Construction - Refurb & New Build) - SW London - £35,000
Our client is a Bespoke Residential Developer seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team and support the Director. Based in SW London, they manage multiple residential refurbishments across London, focusing on high-quality, bespoke co-living projects.
Working closely with the Director, this hands-on role involves assisting in project delivery, planning, and resource management, with opportunities to learn about project planning and oversight. Responsibilities include resource allocation, budget preparation, progress monitoring, attending meetings, and providing updates to the Director.
Requirements include a construction-related degree and at least 1 year of practical experience on a construction site (new build or refurb). You will work alongside an experienced senior professional committed to supporting your career development in the long term.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and actively participate in the delivery of residential refurbishment projects, initially 6-10 units, expanding to 60-90 units over time.
2. Assist in defining project scope and objectives.
3. Plan and manage project resources efficiently.
4. Assist in budget preparation based on project scope and resource needs.
5. Track project costs to ensure budget adherence.
6. Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
7. Attend meetings, take notes, and communicate progress updates to the Director.
8. Monitor project progress, update schedules, and make adjustments as necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
* Construction degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience on a live construction site (new build or refurb).
* Valid driving license.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer skills.
