Description As a Maintenance Fitter, you'll play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and keeping our production equipment running at peak performance. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be responsible for planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance across our site. Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday 2:15pm-11:00pm, Saturday overtime when required. Daily Tasks Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and implement effective repair solutions Diagnose faults and repair industrial equipment to prevent disruptions and maximize production Complete planned and preventive maintenance programs Perform basic fabrication and welding tasks Conduct equipment overhauls and recalibration Set up plant equipment to ensure efficient start-ups Work closely with the Production team to schedule maintenance and minimize production impact Maintain all equipment to the highest safety and operational standards You will bring to this role Engineering Trade qualification or equivalent Previous mechanical maintenance experience, ideally within food manufacturing or similar industry Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance principles Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work Benefits Permanent position with a well-established company Opportunity to work with modern plant equipment Supportive team environment Career development opportunities Staff discounts on Inghams products, free box of chicken every month.
